The Paper Politics show that I’m part of is currently hanging at the Dowd Gallery at SUNY-Cortland in Upstate New York. Andrew Mount, the director at the Dowd sent these photos of the show installed. Seems like it’s made some ripples up there, upsetting some students who actually asked the administration to remove some of the prints! There will be a curator’s talk on October 28th. Info and directions will be on their website.Dowd Gallery website.
I showed some pieces in the Art Is a Hammer show at the We The People festival in Los Angeles not to long ago. The YO Peace collection then headed down to a show in Mexico city. My work made it but I wasn’t able to get down there.
I’ll have a couple pieces up in this Group show in San Francisco. I think it’s hanging for a week. I won’t be able to make it to the opening because I’ll be in New York.

Paper Politics, the political print show I’ve been traveling around the continent has made it’s way to Texas! K Space Contemporary opens Paper Politics on Saturday, April 5th.
The exhibit showcases print art that uses themes of social justice and global equity to engage community members in political conversation. All the Justseeds artists are in the show, as well as 175 other artists from the US and around the world. An eclectic collection of work by artists who are primarily activists, as well as artists, whose work may not always be politically motivated, but who wanted to respond to the monumental trends and events of our times.
Opening: Saturday April 5th, 6-8 PM
Free Admission, Food & Drinks
On view April 5th-May 11th
Also:
Woodcut Printmaking Workshop with Paper Politics artist Mike Stephens
Saturday, April 12th, 10Am-1PM

I should have a least one piece in this show and may drive down for it if I can get the time off. Who wants to let me crash at their casa?
The Los Angeles art community is uniting April 10-13, for an event titled LA vs WAR. This four-day event will take place in downtown Los Angeles at The Firehouse and will feature poster and street art, live t-shirt and poster screen-printing, film screenings, and even a stencil garden.
LA vs WAR aims to highlight the travesty of a senseless war now going into its 6th year and to give a platform for LA’s artists to exercise their freedom of speech. Artwork by hundreds of artists will represent diverse communities in delivering a universal message of peace and understanding.
